Supervision Essentials 5 - Performance Management

Measuring performance is critical to the success of every company. Due to the competitive market, companies must expect each employee to contribute in a meaningful way to both the culture and the bottom line. As a supervisor, you are expected to set clear expectations for employees and hold them accountable for the appropriate levels of performance. Feedback is critical to employee empowerment and accountability.

You will:

  • Gain an understanding of the purpose, processes, and benefits of performance management
  • Acquire the ability to set specific goals using SMART
  • Practice “coaching conversations” using selected examples
  • Understand how to document both goals and performance
