Session 4:  Performance Management

In today’s competitive market, companies must expect each employee to contribute in a meaningful way to both the culture and the bottom line. As a supervisor, you are expected to set clear expectations for employees and hold them accountable for the appropriate levels of performance.

Do you know how to measure your employees' performance?  Once you have developed a method, how will you communicate your expectations?  Feedback is critical to employee empowerment and accountability.

In this session, you will:

  • Gain an understanding of the purpose, processes, and benefits of performance management
  • Acquire the ability to set specific goals using the SMART method
  • Practice “coaching conversations” using selected examples
  • Learn how to document goals and performance
