Companies with effective safety committees have successful safety programs; however, a poorly run safety committee can become part of the problem rather than part of the solution!  This workshop presents a complete overview of safety committee requirements and how to run a practical and effective safety committee.

Some of the topics covered include:

• How to establish a direction for the committee 
• How to run an effective safety meeting
• Pitfalls of committee operations and how to avoid them
• How to gain consensus among committee members
• Problem solving skills

Attendees are encouraged to bring minutes from previous safety committee meetings so they can be discussed, analyzed, and improved.
