How safe is your workplace? Do you know what to do in an emergency? Join us as we cover two important safety topics in one four-hour workshop.
Part 1: Violence Prevention
In 2009, over 570,000 nonfatal violent crimes occurred in the American workplace, and one out of every nine workplace fatalities was a homicide. The numbers are staggering, but UEA's safety consultant, Allen Freauff, can help you prepare. You'll learn how to spot a potentially dangerous situation before it develops, how to assess the level of risk, and what steps you can safely take to deal with it. A proactive approach can help keep your employees safe!
Part 2: Workplace Emergency Action plans
Everyone knows to call 911 in an emergency, but what do you do while waiting for help to arrive? If the emergency occurs at work--particularly in a manufacturing environment--it could involve fire, chemicals, water, or razor-sharp metal. A good emergency action plan can save lives and property by laying out just how you should respond to all the most likely scenarios.
If you have a plan in place, come see how it can be improved. Don't wait until you have an emergency to put your plan to the test!
