Facilitator: Chris Sheesley
Cost: $99 Member / $130 Non-member
Your role often places you in the center of the fray. This hands-on training helps you learn how to manage disruptive workplace disputes in more productive ways. You will acquire a new mindset for approaching these cases and take away a broad range of professional mediation techniques to guide your approach.
The workshop is grounded in the trainer’s real-world mediation experience and weaves together question and answer, discussion, shared stories and an emphasis on experiential learning.
You will cultivate a mediator's view of conflict by:
- Learning why it's better to mediate than to “just let them work it out”
- Identifying the barriers to traditional conflict-management options
- Learning the five essential mediation listening skills
- Constructing mediative responses to conflict statements
- Demonstrating advanced mediation skills in a conflict situation
