This vital series covers some of the most common safety concerns of manufacturers. The sessions may be taken individually or as a three-part series (students taking all three classes receive a $25 discount). 

Part 1:  Safety and Health Management

Understanding the big picture is critical to successfully managing a company's safety and health program.  The primary emphasis of the workshop is to introduce you to the seven elements within the Oregon OSHA's model for managing safety and health in the workplace.  We'll take a look at the design factors of each element and the processes that help to ensure effective performance of the safety and health management system.

Participants will:

• Gain a greater understanding of safety management systems
• Become familiar with Oregon OSHA's seven core elements of a safety management system.
• Understand the key processes within each of the seven core elements
