Emergency Action Plans

Price: $195 for Members, $199 for Non-members

Both Oregon and Washington OSHA require a written Emergency Action Plan for employers with more than 10 employees.  Does your company have a plan?  When was the last time you reviewed it and are all members of your staff aware of what to do?

If an emergency occurs at work—particularly in a manufacturing environment—it could involve fire, chemicals, water, or razor-sharp metal.  A good Emergency Action Plan can save lives and property by laying out just how you should respond to all the most likely scenarios.

Al Freauff, of AEF Safety, will provide step-by-step advice on how to create and maintain a comprehensive Emergency Action Plan for your workplace and review Best Practices for conducting a vulnerability analysis.

This course will review important aspects of your Emergency Action Plan including:

  • Emergency evacuation procedures
  • Reporting emergencies
  • Personnel training and accountability
  • Fire extinguishers and their use
  • Shelter-in-place procedures
  • Hostile Intruder procedures
  • Emergency communications
  • Building-specific information including evacuation locations
  • Timelines for reviewing and updating your plan

If you already have a plan in place, come see how it can be improved. Don’t wait until you have an emergency to put your plan to the test!
