ABC Lifeline, Inc has been providing quality CPR and First Aid Training in the Portland area for over 10 years. With a training staff that includes fire fighters, nurses and instructors with over 15 years experience, they are confident that they can meet employers’ safety training needs.
Jan Foster has been partnering with clients for over 25 years, including 18 years with Xerox Corporation. Jan collaborates with organizations to improve their hiring and employee development practices through an online hiring system (ATS) and assessments that provide data about which applicant is most likely to be a good, honest worker and who will succeed and provide the greatest value in a given role. Jan works in affiliation with Performance Resources LLC and Profiles International. In 2001 she founded a highly successful professinal networking group which has supported over 300 experienced professionals thorugh job transitions.
Jim Frazer, M.S., has over 25 years consulting and manufacturing experience as Plant Manager, Employee Relations Manager and Division Manager of Human Resources at Crown Zellerbach Corporation and Continental Can Company. Since 1988, Adjunct faculty, Portland State University, Department of Management, School of Business Administration.
Al Freauff came to Oregon OSHA after 27 years with the Portland Police Bureau. After attending an FBI Academy trainer course, Al became involved with training at the Bureau and taught at both the local Police Academy and at Police Academy in Monmouth, Oregon. He is also retired from the US Army Reserve; he taught Nuclear Biological and Chemical Warfare for his last 9 years there. Eight years prior to becoming an instructor, Al worked as a safety complicance officer in the Portand Field office.
Larry Hellie, MBA, SPHR, CCP, CBP, GRP. Larry has over 30 years’ experience in labor relations, human resources, safety, and risk management. He has extensive experience in labor contract negotiations and administration, and is an adjunct faculty member for numerous colleges and universities.
Wayne Landsverk, J.D., is a partner at Miller Nash, LLP. He has been advising and representing northwest employers in all areas of employment and traditional labor law for over 30 years. His labor law experience includes National Labor Relations Board representation and unfair labor practice proceedings, union election campaigns, grievance processing, and arbitrations. Wayne is a member of the national Labor Lawyers Advisory Committee of CUE, Inc., an organization for positive employee relations.
Tonia McConnell, M.S., works with clients to design and implement training and organizational development options that further their company mission. She focuses on process improvement, leadership, team building, quality principles and organizational alignment. In addition, she will develop and deliver classroom training to improve skills, and facilitate individual and group communication and improvement through appropriate modeling and coaching. She has over 25 years of experience in this field, including training positions with various manufacturing firms. Currently, she works with numerous organizations on a consulting basis.
Dan Miller has worked in the field of training and development for over 25 years. His experiences as a line supervisor, human resources manager and organizational consultant bring a real world perspective to the workshop. His lively participatory approach to training has had a positive effect on thousands of participants nationwide.
David Polland, B.S., has been involved in Safety Management and Safety Training for over 20 years. During his 15-year tenure at Brix Maritime Co, a tugboat and barge company, David developed a workable and practical safety program. The resulting program was responsible for significant reductions in losses and was awarded the highest rating possible by Det Norske Veritas, an international risk management organization.
Linda Pressnell joined Oregon OSHA in January 2008. She has over 15 years' experience in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety. Prior to joining Oregon OSHA, Linda worked specifically with the automotive industry, for the federal government, and in the environmental consulting field. She has also served as adjunct faculty for a small liberal arts university.
Robin Quon has 25 years’ experience in the unemployment field. Currently, she serves as the local Hearings Representative for Employers Unity, UEA’s unemployment cost containment partner. Robin has held positions as an Unemployment Hearings Referee, an Administrative Law Judge, and a manager of unemployment agency appeals in both Oregon and Illinois. Prior to entering the unemployment field, Robin was in private law practice specializing in labor law.
Chris Sheesley, M.A., is a professional mediator and has devoted his career to conflict resolution. He serves on 15 agencies’ professional mediation rosters, provides on-call mediation service for various employee assistance programs, and is an adjunct faculty member for Marylhurst University’s Conflict Management program. His style is described by clients as being “effective, sensitive, compassionate, respectful, and professional.”
Paul Spindel, MA, is a consultant focusing on management development, meeting facilitation and Human Resources consulting. He has over eighteen years of senior human resources experience with Marriott and Nike. In many of his positions he also managed the safety efforts of the organization. Paul has conducted training sessions for many global organizations and universities including sessions as far away as Moscow, Russia. Paul is known for his energetic and realistic training programs.
William Swift, MEd, CEAP, President and CEO of E.A.S.E. Bill has been an employee assistance consultant and trainer for more than 25 years. He is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional and Substance Abuse Professional as outlined by the US Dept of Transportation. Bill has consulted with hundreds of workplaces in establishing and maintaining employee assistance and risk management programs. He is currently the CEO of Employee Assistance Services Enterprises, a Portland-based employee assistance provider.
Jennifer M. Webster, Ph.D has been in the training and development field since 1991.Her areas of training specialty include customer service, train-the-trainer certification, leadership and management development, career development, meeting management, time management, conflict resolution, and process analysis. She has been facilitating strategic planning sessions, board retreats and many other professional meetings for the past twelve years. She is highly skilled at helping groups reach their meeting goals in productive and fun ways!
