As the year draws to an end, we’re focusing on a couple topics in the news that impact your workplaces – sexual harassment and cyber security. Employee classification has been an area of enhanced enforcement action this year, so we also offer an update on the FLSA Overtime Rule as well as Independent Contractor status.

With all the news surrounding sexual harassment in recent months, employers should be clear about expectations for allowed workplace behavior and supervisors should have regular training to ensure they understand their role in ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.
