Many employers have implemented remote work and telecommuting arrangements to ensure continuity of operations during the COVID-19 crisis. Members should be aware of their obligation to communicate the same poster information to remote workers as you would to your onsite workers.
In order to support our Members, UEA is providing downloadable versions of all required State and Federal Labor Law postings so you can provide them to your remote workforce. Click the links in the table below to download each poster. Continue reading for more information regarding best practices for distributing these mandatory postings to your remote workers.
Posting Guidelines for Remote Workers
While there is no requirement to post federal and state posters in home offices, employers are responsible for ensuring telecommuters have access to the mandatory posting information.
The easiest way to ensure all remote workers have access to the mandated federal and state workplace posters is to post them on your organization's intranet and send email reminders to staff with links to the Intranet site.
- Send mandatory postings when staff begin telecommuting, as well as anytime the posters are updated.
- Use read receipt options on your emails to provide an additional level of assurance that the information has been received.
